Burton family officially open £250k Mill House

Find a Fayre & Square
A lucky lady from Burton was given a birthday party to remember at the launch of a new Fayre & Square pub in Stretton last Saturday (17 March).
The Mill House on Milford Drive, which has received a £250,000 investment from pub owners Spirit Pub Company, re-launched on Saturday and called for the community to put forward nominations for Family of the Year as part of the official launch activity.
The Poxons; mum Sarah and children Alexander 8, Emily 7 and Sophie 6, were nominated by local school the William Shrewsbury Primary to receive complimentary meals and drinks at the pub – which also had a Free Family Fun Day – as Sarah would be celebrating her birthday that weekend.
Marc Williams, general manager of the Mill House, said: “It was a privilege to welcome Sarah and her family as our Family of the Year. We had many great nominations from our community but when we saw that it just so happened to be Sarah’s birthday the day before our launch, we couldn’t think of a more unique way to celebrate than being asked to officially open your local pub!”
“It was great to see the family thoroughly enjoying themselves and tucking into our new dishes; the Cookie Dough Pizza to share went down extremely well!”
The Poxons have also been put forward for the nationwide competition to be crowned Fayre & Square’s Family of the Year, which will conclude in June 2012.
Spirit Pub Company is delivering Fayre and Square, of which there are now three in Burton including the Mill House in Stretton, the Chesterfield Arms in Bretby and the Fradley Arms in Fradley, to provide great value to their guests, all day every day, with clear pricing and no hidden extras.
