Fayre & Square marks great grandparents day

With the world’s most famous great grandmother set to celebrate her diamond Jubilee next month, family pub chain Fayre & Square has truly got in the spirit by creating its own ‘Great Grandparents Day’ on May 27th.

Fayre & Square pubs, many of which also include a Wacky Warehouse, are looking to give something back by dedicating the day to great grandparents. And to celebrate, when all four generations eat together at Fayre & Square on Sunday May 27th, great grandparents will get their main meal free (between 2pm and 5pm).

Sally Wainwright from Fayre & Square said: “Everyone leads very busy lives so it’s often hard to see elderly relatives, especially as many people have moved away from their home town.

“But it’s important to keep in touch. We know many great grandparents who often dine here with their families so we wanted to give people the chance to say thank you and celebrate with them. We mark Mothers Day, Fathers Day and even Grandparents Day but nothing to celebrate our eldest generation – until now.

“National Great Grandparents Day is about getting families together and making sure people still make time for family occasions, however busy they are. We’re even giving great grandparents the chance to claim a free main meal to celebrate!”
