Liverpool Family Officially Open £282K Allerton Hall

A Liverpool family, who have been through a traumatic time with the loss of five family members over the past five years, were named Family of the Year last Saturday (17 March).

Springwood Avenue pub, Allerton Hall, Clark Gardens, which has received a £282,000 investment from pub owners Spirit Pub Company, re-launched on Saturday as a Fayre & Square and invited the Owens to be their VIPs for the day.

The Owens; mum Bev, dad Gav and seven year old daughter Natasha, were nominated by the team at the Allerton Hall to receive a well deserved treat, especially as the official opening coincides with their late nephews 21st Birthday who sadly lost his life in tragic accident in 2008.

Allerton Hall general manager, Sarah Payne, said: “Bev and her family are the perfect choice to be our Family of the Year and officially open our fantastic new pub. They really have had a hard time over the past few years, and we’ve all witnessed their struggles and their strength to keep going.

The Owens not only received complimentary meals and drinks at the pub – which had a Free Family Fun Day as part of its celebrations – have also been put forward for the nationwide competition to be crowned Fayre & Square’s Family of the Year, which will conclude in June 2012.

Sarah added: “The launch was a huge success, it was great to see people of all ages getting into the spirit of our Family Fun Day and tucking into our new dishes such as The Mighty Fisherman’s Feast, Toad in the Hole, Mac & Cheese New Yorker and Cookie Dough Pizza dessert.”

Spirit Pub Company is delivering Fayre and Square to provide great value to their guests, all day every day, with clear pricing and no hidden extras.
