The Roberts family from Wrexham were named Family of the Year at the official reopening of new Fayre & Square pub the Squire Yorke.

The pub on Sontley Road has recently undergone a £255,000 transformation and to mark the opening asked for a family to be put forward as Family of the Year and receive VIP treatment.

Vicki and Chris Roberts with eight year old twins, William and Olivia, were nominated by the team at St Marys Catholic School for the time, effort and support Vicki gives as Chair of the Friends Association (PTA) for the school.

Squire Yorke general manager, Jennifer Fawcett, said: “Vicki and her family are the perfect choice to be our Family of the Year. Vicki does an incredible job organising and supporting the Friends Association with little reward or recognition. It was an honour to give something back to a key community member with a little extra special treatment.”

The Robert’s not only enjoyed complimentary meals and drinks at the pub – which will had a Free Family Fun Day including balloon modellers, face painters and jugglers – but they have also been put forward for a nationwide competition to be crowned Fayre & Square’s Family of the Year, which will conclude in June 2012.

Jennifer added: “The pub has got off to a flying start; the Family Fun Day was a huge success with people of all ages enjoying themselves. We’re really happy with the feedback we’ve received from our community and look forward to continued success.”

Spirit Pub Company is delivering Fayre and Square to provide great value to their guests, all day every day, with clear pricing and no hidden extras.
