Over 50 families were chosen to officially open our new Fayre & Square pubs over the past year. Each family was chosen by their local pub team after demonstrating incredible dedication and commitment, whether it be to a charity or supporting a family member, and more than deserved a little VIP treatment. We have now chosen our top ten finalists who are vying for the title of the Fayre & Square Family of the Year 2012.

The finalists are relying on YOU to get the most votes to win the title and £500 worth of holiday vouchers. To vote simply pop to the bottom of the page, select your favourite family and fill in your details to submit your vote.

      • Pub: Hobsons Choice

        The Wilkinsons; mum Janet, dad Anthony and baby Jack, who was born 4 November 2011, were nominated by the team at the Hobsons Choice to be the Family of the Year as a reward for their strength and support following Jack’s diagnosis of liver disease.

        The Hayes; mum Claire, dad Wayne and children; Will, Thomas, Rebecca and Harvey, were nominated by the team at the Boddington Arms to be the Family of the Year as special treat for Will who suffers from Fredericks Ataxia.

      • Pub: Phantom Winger

        The Feeneys; mum Maria, dad Don and children; Max, Oscar and Tessa were nominated by the Old Lady & St Edwards Catholic Primary School to be the Phantom Winger’s Family of the Year to recognise the enthusiasm the family put into supporting the school with PTA meetings and putting together the school magazine.

        The Simpsons; mum Tracey, dad Chris and children; Thomas, Robert, Harvey and Will, were nominated by the New Florence to be their Family of the Year as a special treat for supporting young Will. Will suffers from severe heart condition and requires Tracey to be his full time carer.

      • Pub: Nickelodeon

        Lesley Thomas, with sisters Jackie Millington and Karen Cookson and mum Amanda, were nominated by the Nickelodeon to be their Family of the Year to give them something to smile about after their father was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness.

        The Fleming family; single mother Jill, daughter Octavia, grandmother Martha and brother Ian, were nominated by the Mascrat Manor to be their Family of the Year after the team recognised the constant struggles and difficulties the family faces on a daily basis.

        The Chapmans; Jessica and mum Emma were nominated by the Ferry Boat Inn to be their Family of the Year as a reward for the incredible fundraising Jessica did for the Nottingham Post’s Room to Breathe Campaign which is supporting the new cystic fibrosis unit at the City Hospital.

        The Owens; mum Bev, dad Gav and daughter Natasha, were nominated by the team at the Allerton Hall to receive a well deserved special treat following the loss of five family members over the last three years.

        The Hicks; mum Tanya, dad Neil, daughter Ellycia, son Jamie and foster children; Jamie, Corey and Curtis, were nominated by the team at the Old Farmhouse to be their Family of the Year as recognition of the family’s commitment to supporting children who are in need of a loving home.

        The Dunwoodys; mum Helen, dad Dave and daughter Niamh, were chosen by the Crooked Billet to receive a reward for the hard work, support and dedication they give to the national charity, Friends of OSCAR, who they have raised over £9,000 for since 2006. The charity assists those with brain or spinal tumours
